Transfer iPhone photos and videos to your Windows PC
Browse every photo and video on your iPhone exactly as the Photos app shows them — by day, by album, by media type, with real sizes. Export the untouched originals over USB, then delete them from the phone and get the space back. Your messages, contacts, music and files come along too.
Free to try — browse everything, export 15 photos and 3 videos, delete 50 items. $45 once unlocks it all, with every future update included. Windows 10 and 11.
How to get your iPhone videos and photos onto your PC
- Plug in your iPhone. Use a USB cable, unlock the phone and tap Trust. No iCloud, no Wi-Fi and no iTunes syncing involved.
- Find what is taking the space. PhotoFroggy reads the phone's own photo library, so you see Videos, Live Photos, Screenshots and your albums with their real dates — sorted largest first if you like.
- Export, then free up space. Copy the full-quality originals to any folder or drive. Delete from the iPhone only what has been verified on your PC.
What File Explorer and the Photos app can't do
Windows shows your iPhone as a flat DCIM folder full of
IMG_4471.MOV — no dates, no albums, no media types, and
imports that stall on big videos. PhotoFroggy reads the phone's own photo
database instead.
The real library
All Photos, Camera, Favourites, Videos, Selfies, Live Photos, Portrait, Panoramas, Screenshots, Slo-mo, Cinematic, Bursts — and your own albums, with their real names.
Byte-exact exports
Full-quality originals, or the edited version you see in the Photos app. Organised into year and month folders if you want, and stamped with the date the shot was taken.
HEIC to JPG, if you want it
Keep Apple's HEIC originals, or save JPGs that open anywhere — with the date, location and colour kept. Name files by the moment they were taken, so they sort in order.
See where the space went
Every category carries a live count and a total size, and you can sort the whole library largest-first. Usually it is video, and usually it is most of the phone.
Preview before you decide
Right-click any photo or video to view it full size, step through with the arrow keys and press S to select — handy for choosing which clips to keep.
Delete, carefully
Nothing is removed from the phone unless a copy is verified on your PC by filename and exact byte count. A file one byte short is not a copy, and is left alone.
Honest about iCloud
With Optimize iPhone Storage on, some originals live only in iCloud. PhotoFroggy tells you which ones, instead of quietly copying a smaller version.
Nothing leaves your PC
No account, no upload, no cloud. The app talks to the phone over the USB cable and serves its interface only to your own machine.
English and 日本語
Fully translated, including every error message. Light and dark themes that follow Windows, plus reduced motion, stronger contrast and larger text.
More than photos
One USB cable, and the rest of your iPhone comes too: your text messages, contacts, music and the documents in the Files app, copied to your PC in forms that open without any special software.
Save your iPhone text messages to your PC
iMessage and SMS conversations become pages you can open in any browser, read and print — with names from your contacts, dates, and emoji and Japanese exactly as on the phone. A spreadsheet of every message comes along for searching.
- Every conversation, or only the ones you pick
- Photos and attachments sent in Messages, if you want them
- Nothing on the iPhone changes
Copy music from iPhone to PC
Songs synced from a computer and iTunes Store purchases, copied into Artist and Album folders any music player understands. Apple Music downloads are copy-protected by Apple and stay on the phone.
Export iPhone contacts
Every contact as a vCard (.vcf) file that Google Contacts, Outlook and Android import directly, plus a spreadsheet — photos and Japanese reading names included.
Files app documents
Everything under “On My iPhone” in the Files app — downloads, PDFs, résumés, Word and Excel files — copied with its folders. Documents kept inside apps, too.
Back up only what's new
PhotoFroggy remembers what it has already saved, so the next backup is one click. Turn on automatic backup and it starts by itself when the iPhone is plugged in.
Try it before you pay
The free version is the whole app. Browsing, filtering and previewing are never limited — only how much you can export and delete.

Questions
Does it upload my photos anywhere?
No. There is no account and no server. The app runs on your computer and reaches the phone over the USB cable.
Do I need iTunes or iCloud?
You need Apple Mobile Device Support, the Windows driver that lets any program talk to an iPhone. It comes with Apple's free Apple Devices app or iTunes. You do not need to sync anything or sign in to iCloud.
Does it work on Windows 10 and Windows 11?
Yes, both. It connects over USB; there is no Wi-Fi transfer.
Does it convert HEIC to JPG?
Yes, if you want it. By default it exports the originals exactly as the iPhone stores them, HEIC photos and HEVC videos included. Tick Convert HEIC to JPG and photos are saved as JPGs instead, keeping the date, location and colour. Converting uses Microsoft's HEIF and HEVC extensions for Windows — see the HEIC and HEVC guide.
Will deleting here delete from iCloud?
If iCloud Photos is on, yes — that is how Apple works, not a choice we make. The app warns you clearly before anything is removed.
Why can't it delete some items?
Media synced onto the phone from a computer by iTunes cannot be deleted by any Windows tool. Remove it the way it arrived, by syncing again.
Do I have to pay for updates?
No. The one-time $45 includes every future update — new features, and the fixes needed when a new iOS release changes how iPhones talk to a PC. There is no subscription.
Can it save my iPhone text messages?
Yes. It reads iMessage and SMS conversations over USB — the same way iTunes makes a backup, but keeping only your messages, contacts and files — and saves them as pages you can read and print, plus a spreadsheet. iPhones set to encrypt their backups aren't supported yet.
Can it copy music from my iPhone?
Yes: songs synced from a computer and iTunes Store purchases. Apple Music downloads are copy-protected by Apple, so no app can copy them off the phone.
Can it get files from iCloud Drive?
No. iCloud Drive files live in Apple's cloud rather than on the iPhone; get them from icloud.com or iCloud for Windows. Anything saved under “On My iPhone” in the Files app is copied.
Is there a Mac version?
Not today. macOS already has Image Capture and Photos, which do most of this. PhotoFroggy exists because Windows does not.
